DAY OF THE WEDDING
The day of your wedding I am making sure everything falls into place. I help design timelines for my couples so that they are stress free and know what comes next. I relay these timelines with all the vendors so that they know when to be ready for their photo ops,
from florals, tables, hair and makeup. We got you covered! It's all been planned in advance how we will photograph the day.
First sneak peak is delivered the NEXT DAY! Because I am so excited about your wedding as well! I love getting home to start working on your images! 4 weeks after your wedding you will receive your entire online gallery then 4-6 weeks later you
will receive any prints and USB.
ONLINE GALLERY AND ORDERING
Online prints can be easily purchased through your online gallery as well as canvas prints. However, I give print releases to all of my clients if you choose to print from another professional print lab.
MY STYLE PHOTOGRAPHY
My style for couples portraits is a collaboration of elegantly posed photographs while also catching the natural moments in between.
I help to guide my clients in the most beautiful and comfortable way so that we can create authentic moments :)
When I capture a ceremony I am discreet and aim to capture the raw emotion of the service. The emotional vows whether they're funny or tug at your heart I aim to capture all of those little details.
I especially love when I can even catch a close relative tearing up with joy. All of these little things make up the whole feeling at atmosphere of the day. I make sure to get all the important key moments, like the ring exchange, kiss of a father
giving his child away. All of this is special to you and in return special to me!
My reception style is very candid and documentary. I love to just float around and capture images that do your reception the most justice. From the details, to the laughter and hugs. You will most likely catch me
capturing the jokes between friends or the reminiscing of memories among family members and my couples. I also make sure to capture the reception key moments such as toasts, cake cutting and any significant traditions. When the lights get dim and party
lights come out you can find me on the dance floor capturing you and your guests dancing and having fun!
A lot of my reception images are primarily black and white depending on the venue. With many evening or low lit receptions capturing your moments in black and white is a common preference for my couples who
love the authenticity of a black and white image. But if you are unsure how your reception will photograph best (color or black and white) feel free to reach out and we can talk about your venue :)
Booking requires minimum of 25% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract. Dates are not secured until both are received.

Q. HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH YOUR BUSINESS NAME?
A. I use to go by my name as my business name "Veronica Ellerman Photography" but when I did a rebrand, I wanted something cute and different so I went with my top two cravings I had during my second pregnancy :)
Q. HOW EARLY SHOULD WE BOOK?
A. we highly recommend booking as soon as you know I am the photographer for you. Around spring and fall I tend to book up for the following year. Most of my couple book me 10-12 months in advance.

Q. WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
A. Myself and second shooters use all of the latest canon equipment. I carry two of the 5d mark iii's and the mark ii's as back ups.
Q, DO YOU SHOOT WITH A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
A. yes, I shoot both solo and with a second shooter. Most of my couples book a second shooter. Each wedding is different and sometimes one photographer is enough depending on the type of coverage my couples want. But I always
recommend adding a second shooter because not only do you end up with more photographs... you have two perspectives of the day. And for obvious reasons like I can't be in two places at once.
Q. WHAT MAKES YOUR WORK DIFFERENT FROM OTER PHOTOGRAPHERS WORK?
A. my ability to build a strong relationship with my couples is a key factor in my success as a wedding photographer. I want to make sure we have good chemistry before taking a wedding on. I also have a background in the arts,
so when I photograph it's more than just clicking the shutter, it's a work of art used to capture your beautiful moments. I pride myself on personalism, professionalism and unique talent.
Q. WILL WE GET THE PRINT RELEASE TO OUR PHOTOGRAPHS AFTER THE WEDDING?
A. yes, the print release is in the contract agreement you sign when booking.
Q. HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WEDDINGS COME WITH?
A. there is no cap on how many photos I deliver. I believe in quality over quantity, my galleries typically consist of 40-60 images per hour and these images are carefully curated to best represent your day and the atmosphere of the day.
Q. DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH AT ALL VENUES IN DALLAS AND FORT WORTH?
A. While I would love to capture the days of all my inquiries, I do limit my venue coverage. This is because some venues in the DFW are not lit
or designed to best reflect my style of work. I don't take all inquiries coming in due to this, because, I want you
to get exactly what you're looking for. You were most likely attracted to my bright and airy photographs. This is because the venues I choose
to photograph at have a lot of natural light, white walls or bright rooms. I typically don't shoot at venues with orange walls, dark wood, or limited outside light. Some venues like lofty warehouses with large windows and brick walls are an exception
depending on the amount of natural light flowing in. I don't shoot at many of the barn venues in the DFW unless it is an all outdoor event with ceremony and reception outdoors. The barns I do photograph at are
The White Sparrow in Quinlan, The Grand Ivory and other white wall barns because they offer great windows and white backdrop for your perfect day. Reach out to me so you can know if I cover your venue!
Q. IF I HAVE A DARK VENUE BUT STILL WANT YOU TO PHOTOGRAPH WILL YOU?
A. Of course! Now this is where things can change up a bit however. Most indoor settings that are dark or have orange wall colors, your images will most likely be in black and white. Most weddings held in
dark environments look best in black and white and this is why:
When setting my camera up for low light scenarios sometimes there is a lot more grain in the image if I choose to photograph without a flash, and when I photograph with a flash it tends to change up the whole feel
of an image. SO a lot of times I will edit images in black and white (this mainly happens at reception time when the sun is no longer out.) Email me so I can show you some sample black and white receptions and ceremonies as well as some
images taken with a flash verse natural light. You will be able to tell the difference and we can discuss how to best curate your wedding photographs as well we a timeline that
can still give you great day light photos.
Q. WILL WE GET FEATURED IN A MAGAZINE OR BLOG?
A. although any of my sessions do get featured, this is not something that is guaranteed. Most publishers are interested in colorful, uniquely designed weddings! If your wedding is unique, fun and has a lot of details then the chances

Q. DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH ELOPEMENTS?
A. of course! depending on availability and the number of hours you have set aside for photography, we have special rates for weekday wedding elopements!
Q. DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF PREFERRED VENDORS TO USE?
A. I sure do! form wedding coordinators to florists and DJ's, we have worked with some of the best companies in Dallas and beyond and would be happy to share their information with you!

Q. DO YOU EDIT ALL THE IMAGES THAT WE WILL RECEIVE?
A. Yes. I edit each photograph as if they were my own. If I notice a double chin, blemish or some "no smoking" sign in the background, I will edit these out as natural as possible. I always color correct, touch up and fix any blemishes that are apparent in every photo I edit.
Q. FEES! ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
A. yes, besides the state sales tax of 8.25% applied to your collection at booking there is an online
transaction fee that is paid out to my contract and payment website host. To avoid online transaction fees of 3% we do accept check and cash payments.
There is also a small travel fee of .46 cents per mile traveled outside of Rockwall, TX County.
Q. I AM GETTING MARRIED IN THE WINTER... WHEN DO I TAKE ENGAGEMENTS?
A. So when I do engagement sessions they are typically 6 months out from the wedding date unless it is a destination wedding then they are 10-12 months out. Summer engagements in Texas can be difficult because of the heat, so sometimes my clients choose to do them earlier in the spring or indoors at one of my favorite studio spaces. There are all kinds of neat indoor places to shoot bridals, engagements and lifestyles. I have shot at amazing boutique hotels, Union Station, loft style studios with exposed brick, all white natural light studios and I have even shot at clients homes if they have a lot of neat architectural details and great lighting! Most summer dates I don't shoot outdoors so email me about some amazing options there are for you.
Q. WE'RE HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING. DO YOU TRAVEL?
A. YES! I love destination weddings! Send us more information on your travel plans, and we will create a custom wedding collection to suit your needs.
Q. CAN WE MEET BEFORE BOOKING?
A. YES! While I do have a busy schedule between, engagements, bridals, editing, weddings and family life I try my best to meet ALL of my couples! A lot of my out of town couples talk with me over several phone calls and by the time we meet for
engagements we both feel we know each other a little better and by wedding time we have a friend-like relationship :)
I try my hardest to be available for everyone! But please feel free to call me over lunch or after dinner if your schedule is crazy like mine! It's common now a days to feel like there aren't enough hours in a day!
